Since 2015, Iran has had an active role in equipping, funding and training the Taliban as Tehran worked to remove the United States from Afghanistan. This included providing sophisticated arms to the Taliban, training Taliban fighters at purpose-built facilities inside Iran, as well as sending Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force soldiers across the border to fight in critical battles against the United States-backed Afghan government.

On today’s program, host Brent Nagtegaal shows how Iran has backed the Taliban for years as it pushed for the fall of the Afghan government and the surrender of United States forces.
