Two events from this week underscore Iran’s aggressive policy toward Israel and other nations in the region.
First, a massive underground attack tunnel penetrating Israeli territory from Lebanon was discovered in northern Israel. The discovery was the first tunnel located as part of operation Northern Shield, a mission two years in the making, whose objective is to detect and neutralize a network of sophisticated secret tunnels created by Hezbollah in order to invade Israeli territory.
Also, United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused the Iranian regime of recently testing a medium-range ballistic missile capable of “carrying multiple warheads” and able to strike “anywhere” in the Middle East and even parts of Europe. Pompeo’s December 1 press statement did not say when the test occurred, only that it had “just” happened.
